Ted founded Cognito Promotions in 2005, driven by a desire to find fulfilling work that made a real difference.  After several years in the financial industry, he realized he needed a change and seized the opportunity to work with his brother at Tannis Root Productions, where he helped bands and entertainment acts create custom merchandise for sale on tour. This experience ignited his passion for helping people connect with their brand through custom-designed merchandise. While working with these high-profile clients, Ted discovered he could use these same skills to help local businesses tell their unique stories through merchandise. He honed his creative skills and started slowly adding a client base of local businesses and organizations. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Ted separated from Tannis Root and refocused Cognito Promotions to specialize solely in consulting for locally owned businesses and organizations. With his deep understanding of branding and marketing, Ted is dedicated to helping local businesses thrive.
